Mosaic’s February Construction Update

With Christmas and the holiday season now just a distant memory, work on all our projects has resumed, with the new year seeing good progress across all projects.

With the pouring of the final slab, the building has now reached its full height.

The Mosaic Construction team has been hard at work assembling the roof framing on the final level, which is nearing completion. Blockwork is progressing well on the Penthouse Level, with the mezzanine floor the last piece to the structure. Glazing has advanced to Level 6 with framing and sheeting following closely behind. The site is buzzing with tradesmen, with tiling to wet areas underway on the lower levels and the painters applying the first coast of paint.

With the ground slab (Basement 2) poured before the Christmas break thus providing the foundations of the building, works at Solis have charged ahead over the past month.

In-situ columns were formed and poured, and the bracing and formwork put into place prior to the pouring of the Basement 1 slab. This process will be repeated for the podium slab which is due to be poured later this month. The tower crane footing was poured, and the crane is now standing tall and working hard lifting formwork and bracing into place.

It’s been full steam ahead at Greenhills since work re-commenced for 2018, with January proving to be a very busy and productive month as the town houses move steadily towards completion.

The structural framing of town houses 1 – 4 was erected and upper level roofing and skylights installed to town houses 5 – 20. Town houses 5 – 7 and 18 – 20 had electrical and plumbing services roughed-in while insulation was installed to town houses 8 – 17. External cladding and painting continued to town houses 10 – 17, while stairs were installed in town houses 12 – 14 and interior painting started. The exterior painting of town houses 8 – 20 also commenced. The 2nd section of the driveway was poured and the timber fencing around the property boundary is under construction.

The team at Silvergum have hit the ground running after the break, with good progress made throughout January.

The detailed excavation is nearly complete for the entire site with only 8 town houses yet to have the ground slab poured. Framing has begun, with town houses 11-14 now with garages erected and the first level flooring in place. The driveway and crossover onto South Pine Road has been poured and driveway works within the site will continue throughout February.  Sleeper and block retaining walls are also nearly completed throughout the site.
